Deteksi Rhodamin B pada Jajanan Anak Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kelurahan Tembung Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang Tahun 2016

Abstract

The use of these dyes are forbidden to food has been regulated in the Decree of the Minister of Health of Republic Indonesia number. 239/Men.Kes/Per/V/85. However it is still common misuse of non food dyes. For example synthetic dyes rhodamine B in food snacks. The research objective isto determine rhodamin B levels of snack and to know the type of syntetic dyes in the samples examined. The Qualitative identification of rhodamin B have been done with Paper Chromatography in Health LaboratoryHall of Medan. The sample in this studyis a snack food scattered around at Elementary School Hall of Medan. The sample in Percut Sei Tuan Deli Sedang by total sampling technique.

The result that all samples were tested did not contain rhodamine B. But, The resulted of Laboratoryexamination results showed that of 28 samples examined, 23 samples used synthetic dyes. Twenty one samples using thebanned dyes, allowed 18 sauce samples contains orange RN and 3 jam samples contains ponceau 3R, while 2 samples using synthetic dyes, allowed yellow RY. Suggested to the drug control agencies and the food (BPOM) in Medan, in order to conduct coaching, supervision and periodic evaluation of the product. To know about artificial  coloring agents usage in process of snack production.
